WWE Hell In A Cell (2009)
The 2009 Hell in a Cell was the inaugural WWE Hell in a Cell, Hell in a Cell professional wrestling pay-per-view (PPV) List of WWE pay-per-view events, event produced by WWE, World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE). It was held for wrestlers from the promotion's Raw (WWE brand), Raw, SmackDown (WWE brand), SmackDown, and ECW (WWE brand), ECW WWE Brand Extension, brand divisions. The event took place on October 4, 2009, at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. It replaced the previously annual October PPV, WWE No Mercy, No Mercy. This was the only Hell in a Cell event to feature the ECW brand, as it was disbanded in February 2010. Eight matches took place on the event's Card (sports), card. Mark William Calaway (born March 24, 1965), better known by the ring name The Undertaker, is an American retired professional wrestler. Widely regarded as one of the greatest professional wrestlers of all time, Calaway spent the vast majority of his career wrestling for WWF/E, and is best known for his critically acclaimed "Deadman" Undertaker gimmick, for which he was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2022. John Randall Hennigan (born October 3, 1979) is an American professional wrestler and actor, better known by the ring name John Morrison. The World Heavyweight Championship was a professional wrestling world heavyweight championship owned by WWE. The Legacy (professional Wrestling)
The Legacy was a villainous American professional wrestling stable in the professional wrestling promotion World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), who competed on its Raw brand from 2008 to 2010. Originally, The Legacy was a group led by Randy Orton that contained the tag team of Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase Jr. Two other wrestlers, Manu and Sim Snuka, were briefly members of the stable as well. The concept behind the group was that each member was a multi-generational wrestler. The name The Legacy was a reference to their extensive family histories in wrestling.
