WWBI-LP
WWBI-LP, UHF analog channel 27, was a low-powered Ion Television- affiliated station licensed to Plattsburgh, New York, United States. The station was owned by SMC Communications. WWBI was licensed as a Class A station, even though the calls list it as an "-LP"; this was the case with many other stations licensed prior to 1999, when the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) began to assign the "-CA" suffix for Class A licenses. On cable, WWBI was seen on Charter channel 10 in Plattsburgh and Comcast digital channel 142 in Burlington, Vermont. History WWBI signed on December 14, 1992 as an independent station. The station originally had plans to become the Fox affiliate for the Burlington–Plattsburgh market and Montreal, but negotiations failed and the station adopted the UPN affiliation in 1995. However, three stations changed affiliation in 1999: UPN moved to former WB station WBVT-LP, The WB moved to Fox station WFFF-TV as a secondary affiliate, and WWBI initially we ...

Cable Television
Cable television is a system of delivering television programming to consumers via radio frequency (RF) signals transmitted through coaxial cables, or in more recent systems, light pulses through fibre-optic cables. This contrasts with broadcast television (also known as terrestrial television), in which the television signal is transmitted over-the-air by radio waves and received by a television antenna attached to the television; or satellite television, in which the television signal is transmitted over-the-air by radio waves from a communications satellite orbiting the Earth, and received by a satellite dish antenna on the roof. FM radio programming, high-speed Internet, telephone services, and similar non-television services may also be provided through these cables. Analog television was standard in the 20th century, but since the 2000s, cable systems have been upgraded to digital cable operation. A "cable channel" (sometimes known as a "cable network") is a tele ...

Local Marketing Agreement
In North American broadcasting, a local marketing agreement (LMA), or local management agreement, is a contract in which one company agrees to operate a radio or television station owned by another party. In essence, it is a sort of lease or time-buy. Under Federal Communications Commission (FCC) regulations, a local marketing agreement must give the company operating the station (the "senior" partner) under the agreement control over the entire facilities of the station, including the finances, personnel and programming of the station. Its original licensee (the "junior" partner) still remains legally responsible for the station and its operations, such as compliance with relevant regulations regarding content. Occasionally, a "local marketing agreement" may refer to the sharing or contracting of only certain functions, in particular advertising sales. This may also be referred to as a time brokerage agreement (TBA), local sales agreement (LSA), management services agreement ( ...

WWF Jakked/Metal
''WWF Jakked'' and ''WWF Metal'' are professional wrestling television programs that were produced by the World Wrestling Federation (now known as WWE). Both programs aired syndicated weekly from August 28, 1999 until May 19, 2002 and replaced ''WWF Shotgun Saturday Night''. Originally produced under the World Wrestling Federation (WWF) banner, they were replaced by the similarly formatted ''WWE Bottom Line'' and ''WWE Afterburn'' in syndication. History ''Jakked'' aired on Saturday nights while ''Metal'' aired in the afternoon. Both shows featured matches from the week's events, including exclusive undercard matches taped before ''Raw is War''. As a result of the WWE Brand Extension, from April 2002 until the discontinuation of ''Jakked'' and ''Metal'' in May of that year (by which the shows were now named ''WWE Jakked'' and ''WWE Metal'' per the name change that month), both shows began to feature matches from the SmackDown brand; as such, it was taped before ''SmackDown'' tapin ...

The Jerry Springer Show
''Jerry Springer'' is an American scripted syndicated tabloid talk show that aired from September 30, 1991 to July 26, 2018. Produced and hosted by its namesake, Jerry Springer, it aired for 27 seasons and nearly 5,000 episodes. The television series was produced and aired by NBCUniversal and CW for over 26 years, peaking in popularity around 1997 and 1998 amongst a predominantly American audience. The program was unsuccessful in ratings in its first seasons due to its focus on more political issues. This led to an overhaul of the structure which by the mid-1990s led to the show as it is known now, filled with controversial topics (such as incest and adultery), profanity, physical fights (involving a mixture of boxing and wrestling), nudity, and scantily clad guests. The show premiered on September 30, 1991. It was taped in Chicago, Illinois from 1991 to 2009 and in Stamford, Connecticut, from 2009 to 2018. On June 13, 2018, NBCUniversal ended production of new episodes of the ...

Media Market
A media market, broadcast market, media region, designated market area (DMA), television market area, or simply market is a region where the population can receive the same (or similar) television and radio station offerings, and may also include other types of media such as newspapers and internet content. They can coincide or overlap with one or more metropolitan areas, though rural regions with few significant population centers can also be designated as markets. Conversely, very large metropolitan areas can sometimes be subdivided into multiple segments. Market regions may overlap, meaning that people residing on the edge of one media market may be able to receive content from other nearby markets. They are widely used in audience measurements, which are compiled in the United States by Nielsen Media Research. Nielsen measures both television and radio audiences since its acquisition of Arbitron, which was completed in September 2013. Markets are identified by the largest ...
