WWA Welterweight Championship
The WWA World Welterweight Championship (''Campeonato Mundial de Peso Welter WWA'' in Spanish) is a Mexican professional wrestling championship promoted by the Mexican Lucha Libre wrestling based promotion World Wrestling Association (WWA) since 1987. The official definition of the Welterweight weight class in Mexico is between and , but is not always strictly enforced. Because Lucha Libre emphasizes the lower weight classes, this division is considered more important than the normally more prestigious heavyweight division of a promotion. As it was a professional wrestling championship, the championship was not won not by actual competition, but by a scripted ending to a match determined by the bookers and match makers. Bandido (born April 17, 1995) is a Mexican ''luchador enmascarado'' ( masked professional wrestler) who is primarily known for his work in the promotions Lucha Libre Elite (LLE), The Crash Lucha Libre and Dragon Gate (DG). He is also a former one time ROH World Champion. Bandido is currently signed to AEW. He is a fourth-generation wrestler, a relative of Apóstol Jr., Myzteziz Jr., and cousin of Magia Blanca. Bandido's real name is not publicly known, which is often the case with masked wrestlers in Mexico. Bandido previously worked under the ring names "Magnífico II" and "Cielito" but since 2016, he has used the ring character Bandido, who wears a mask that incorporates a bandana covering the lower part of his face in the style of Wild West outlaw. He is the son of referee Pepe Casas and part of the Casas wrestling family; the brother of Negro Casas and Felino. Espanto Jr. is the most recognizable ring name of Jesús Andrade Salas (born May 11, 1956), a retired Mexican ''luchador'', or professional wrestler. Over his 25-year-long career, Andrade worked under a number of different aliases, most importantly as Espanto Jr. ("Terror Jr."), later on as El Santo Negro ("The Black Saint"), and as the first person to work as Pentagón.
