WVII-TV (channel 7) is a television station in Bangor, Maine, United States, affiliated with ABC and Fox. The station is owned by Rockfleet Broadcasting, and has studios on Target Industrial Circle in West Bangor; its transmitter is located on Black Cap Mountain along the Penobscot–Hancock county line. WVII-TV serves as the default ABC affiliate through cable for the Presque Isle market, as that area does not have an ABC affiliate of its own. It is carried in the local tier of Charter Spectrum's cable system in Presque Isle, and is also offered as the ABC affiliate in the Presque Isle Dish Network and DirecTV channel lineups. WFVX-LD (channel 22) operates as a low-power translator of WVII-TV. Greeneville, Tennessee
Greeneville is a town in and the county seat of Greene County, Tennessee, United States. The population as of the 2020 census was 15,479. The town was named in honor of Revolutionary War hero Nathanael Greene, and it is the second oldest town in Tennessee. It is the only town with this spelling in the United States, although there are numerous U.S. towns named ''Greenville''. The town was the capital of the short-lived State of Franklin in the 18th-century history of East Tennessee. Black Cap Mountain
Black Cap Mountain is a mountain in Penobscot County, Maine, United States. The mountain is southeast of Eddington, Maine, and the Penobscot River. It is accessible from Maine Route 46, near its intersection with The Airline (State Route 9). The mountain is named for its granite peak, which is mostly bare with a few scrubby trees. From the mountain there is a panoramic view of western Maine, the Western Maine Mountains, and the eastern portion of the White Mountain National Forest. Background Black Cap consists of a range of hills, approximately long, with an average breadth of wide. Both Boy Scout Camp Roosevelt and Fitts Pond sit at the base of the mountain. WEZR (780 Hertz, kHz) is an AM radio, AM radio station in Rumford, Maine. The station is owned by Stan Bennett, through licensee Bennett Radio Group. The station airs a conservative talk radio format. As a sports station, it was the home of the Portland Pirates American Hockey League, American League hockey, and Portland Sea Dogs Eastern League (1938–2020), Eastern League baseball. Rumford is a New England town, town in Oxford County, Maine, Oxford County, Maine, United States. The population was 5,858 at the 2020 United States Census, 2020 census. WNSW (Maine)
WNSW was a radio station on 1200 AM in Brewer, Maine, operating between September 20, 1947, and October 24, 1995. History The Portland Broadcasting System, Inc., received the construction permit to build a new radio station at 1450 kHz in Bangor on January 31, 1947. The call letters WGPG were soon ditched for WGUY, representing Guy Gannett, the original owner. The station went on the air on September 20, broadcasting with 250 watts, and affiliated with CBS on August 1, 1949, matching sister station WGAN in Portland and leaving behind its initial hookup with ABC. WGUY's short-lived FM counterpart, WGUY-FM 93.1, was the first FM station in Maine. After WGUY moved to 1230 kHz in 1950, Murray Carpenter acquired WGUY in 1954.
