WTGZ
WTGZ (95.9 FM, "The Tiger") is a commercial radio station in Tuskegee, Alabama, broadcasting to the Auburn, Alabama, area. Until 2007 the station also broadcast to the Montgomery, Alabama, area on 104.9 FM. The Tiger is the area's only modern rock station and is popular with Auburn University students. On May 4, 2020, WTGZ and its alternative rock format moved to 95.9 FM Tuskegee, swapping frequencies with talk-formatted WQSI. Programming WTGZ airs an alternative rock music format branded as "The Tiger." Notable former on-air personalities include Marti Jackson, Ripper Price, Matt Stone, Sharpie, Johnny Wilkes, and Bill Bailey. WQSI (93.9 FM, "FM Talk 93.9") is an American radio station broadcasting a News/Talk format. Licensed to Union Springs, Alabama, the station serves the Auburn, Alabama, area. The station is currently owned by Tiger Communications, Inc. On May 4, 2020, WQSI and its talk format moved to 93.9 FM Union Springs, swapping frequencies with alternative rock-formatted WTGZ. Programming Syndicated music programming once included '' America's Grand Ole Opry Weekend'' from Westwood One. Auburn High School is a public high school in Auburn, Alabama. It is the only high school in the Auburn City School District. Auburn High offers technical, academic, and International Baccalaureate programs, as well as joint enrollment with Southern Union State Community College and Auburn University. The Auburn High School Tigers are the athletic teams which represent Auburn High School (Alabama), Auburn High School in Auburn, Alabama. Auburn High School's athletics program fields twenty-one varsity teams as a member of the large-school classification (7A) of the Alabama High School Athletic Association. The Tigers' school colors are royal blue and white (color), white and the school's mascot is a tiger named Samford. AHS's track and field teams have won fourteen state championships, while the Cross country running, cross country squad has won eight state titles. Tuskegee () is a city in Macon County, Alabama, United States. It was founded and laid out in 1833 by General Thomas Simpson Woodward, a Creek War veteran under Andrew Jackson, and made the county seat that year. It was incorporated in 1843.
