The radio studios and offices are on Hollywood Boulevard NW in Fort Walton Beach. By day, WFTW is powered at 2,500 watts non-directional. But to protect other stations on 1260 AM from interference at night, WFTW reduces power at sunset to 131 watts. WFTW-FM was originally on 99.3 MHz, broadcasting at 3,000 watts, a fraction of its current output. Both stations were owned by Vacationland Broadcasting. Because WFTW 1260 was a daytimer, WFTW-FM continued the AM station's programming after sunset. FM 99.3 was a Class A frequency, limited at the time to only local coverage. Evergreen is a city in Conecuh County, Alabama, United States. As of the 2010 census the population was 3,944. The city is the county seat of Conecuh County. History Early settlers to the area came from Georgia and South Carolina beginning in 1818. Evergreen was founded officially in 1819 when Revolutionary War veteran James Cosey and several other men settled within the present limits of the city.
