WLs75
The WLs75 is a small narrow gauge diesel locomotive built in Poland, at the ZNTK in Poznań. It was used mostly on industrial railways. History The locomotive's design was started at the CBKPTK (Central Design Bureau of Railway Stock Industry) in Poznań.Pokropiński (2009), p. 165-167 The design was finally made in 1961 by the ZNTK Poznań (Railway Stock Repair Works). It was powered by 75 hp diesel engine and had a mechanical transmission, driving two axles by cranks and connecting rods. WLs75s were first built in 1965. (WLs stood for ''Wąskotorowa'' - narrow-gauge, ''lokomotywa'' - locomotive, ''spalinowa'' - internal combustion engine). In total, 86 were built with the last shipped in 1975. Rudy, Silesian Voivodeship
Rudy , also known as ''Rudy Wielkie'' ("Great Rudy") or ''Rudy Raciborskie'' (german: Groß Rauden), is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Kuźnia Raciborska, within Racibórz County, Silesian Voivodeship, in southern Poland. AAR Wheel Arrangement
The AAR wheel arrangement system is a method of classifying locomotive (or unit) wheel arrangements that was developed by the Association of American Railroads. Essentially a simplification of the European UIC classification, it is widely used in North America to describe Diesel locomotive, diesel and electric locomotives (including third-rail electric locomotives). It is not used for steam locomotives, which use the Whyte notation instead. The AAR system counts axles instead of wheels. Letters refer to powered axles, and numbers to unpowered (or idler) axles. "A" refers to one powered axle, "B" to two powered axles in a row, "C" to three powered axles in a row, and "D" to four powered axles in a row. Silesian Park ( pl, Park Śląski) is a recreation complex in the center of the Upper-Silesian Metropolis in Chorzów in Upper Silesia, Poland. Silesian Park is managed by WPKiW S.A. The area of the park is 620 hectares, twice as large as the Central Park in New York.
