WLOD (1140 AM), is a radio station broadcasting from Loudon, Tennessee, just southwest of Knoxville, and was formerly owned by Blount Broadcasting Corporation. On October 14, 2021, at 15:30, began operating under a Local Marketing Agreemnt with Radio Loudon LLC. Radio Loudon LLC then became the licensee on March 22, 2022. WLOD began airing Scott Shannon's True Oldies Channel on April 1, 2022 at Midnight. The station first signed on the air on January 1, 1983, as WLNT. Loudon is a city in and the county seat of Loudon County, Tennessee, United States. Its population was 6,001 at the 2020 census. It is included in the Knoxville, Tennessee Metropolitan Statistical Area. The city is located in East Tennessee, southwest of Knoxville, on the Tennessee River. WRVA (1140 kHz) is a commercial AM radio station licensed to Richmond and serving Central Virginia. WRVA airs a talk radio format and is owned by Audacy, Inc. Established in 1925, WRVA is one of Virginia's oldest radio stations, and the most powerful AM station in the Commonwealth. For much of its history, WRVA billed itself as the "Voice of Virginia." WRVA is a Class A, clear channel station, transmitting with 50,000 watts, the maximum for commercial AM stations in the U.S. It uses a directional antenna with a two-tower array to protect the other Class A station on 1140 AM, XEMR in Monterrey, Mexico.
