WQLE (960 AM) was the last official call sign of a now defunct radio station in Kane, Pennsylvania. History McKean County's first full-time radio station WQLE signed on as WADP on June 7, 1954, under the ownership of Northern Allegheny Broadcasting Company. Studios and offices were located inside the Penn-Kane Hotel, at the corner of Fraley and Greeves Streets in Kane. Transmitter facilities were located along Highland Road, outside of Kane. The construction permit to build the station was issued on February 24, 1954, which allowed the station to operate at the assigned frequency of 1590 kHz and at a daytime-only power of 500 watts. WKSN (1340 AM broadcasting, AM) – branded ''Kissin' Oldies 1340'' – is a commercial oldies radio station licensed to Jamestown, New York. Owned by Media One Radio Group, the station serves as a local affiliate for the Cleveland Guardians Radio Network. History AM 1340 signed on in 1948 as ''WJOC''. It used the call sign ''WXYJ'' in the mid-1960s before adopting the WKSN call sign and "Kissin'" slogan by no later than 1968. KISS-FM is the brand name of a Top 40 music format heard on FM radio stations in many cities in the United States and overseas. iHeartMedia claims ownership of the KISS-FM brand in the United States and operates most KISS-FM formatted stations there, though not KISS-FM in San Antonio, Texas, or KISS-FM America on TuneIn. Kane, Pennsylvania
Kane is a borough in McKean County in the U.S. state of Pennsylvania, east by southeast of Erie. It was founded in 1864 by Civil War General Thomas L. Kane of the famous Bucktail Regiment at an elevated site 2210 feet (674 m) above sea level.
