History 93.7 FM With the original call letters WFXZ-FM, "93.7 The Bone" signed on in November 2000. Owned and operated by Sea-Comm Media Inc., the station was located in the same Wilmington, North Carolina facilities as (modern rock) WSFM-FM "Surf 107" and (rhythmic oldies) WKXB "Jammin 99.9". The original lineup featured a jock-less, all-music morning show, Paul "Sully" Sullivan 10 am – 3 pm, Cameron Post 3–7 pm, and Steve "Knothead" Tighe 7 pm – 12 am. Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina
Wrightsville Beach is a town in New Hanover County, North Carolina, United States. Wrightsville Beach is just east of Wilmington and is part of the Wilmington Metropolitan Statistical Area. The population was 2,477 at the 2010 census. The town consists of a long beach island, an interior island called Harbor Island, and pockets of commercial property on the mainland. It served as a filming location of ''Dawson's Creek''. History Establishment The first documented history of present-day Wrightsville Beach began when the Lord's Proprietor granted land to Charles Harrison in 1725. Shallotte is a town in Brunswick County, North Carolina, United States. The population was 3,675 at the 2010 census. The Shallotte River passes through the town. History Shallotte was incorporated as a town in 1899. A former Hardee's restaurant, located on Main Street, was used as a filming location for the robbery scene in the Melissa McCarthy film '' Tammy''. WYHW (104.5 FM) is a radio station broadcasting a Christian radio format. Licensed to Wilmington, North Carolina, United States, the station serves the Wilmington area. WYHW is currently owned by Bible Broadcasting Network. History "Gold 104" signed on in 1994 with an oldies format. The original call letters were WUOY. It used a satellite fed network oldies format with a local morning show hosted by Bob Dale. Paul Knight was the Managing Partner and General Manager. Bob Dale was Program Director. The Sun News
''The Sun News'' is a daily newspaper published in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, in the United States. It serves the Grand Strand region of South Carolina with a daily circulation of 19,773 and a Sunday circulation of 26,798. It is owned by Chatham Asset Management. The ''Myrtle Beach News'' was founded as a weekly in 1935 by brothers-in-law C. L. Phillips and J. Clarence Macklen. They had recently started a printing business, and local merchants asked them to do a local newspaper. In 1961, it was sold to Mark Garner, publisher of Myrtle Beach's other newspaper, the ''Myrtle Beach Sun'' (started in 1950). Garner merged the two papers into ''The Sun News'', and soon began publishing twice weekly. With the explosive growth that occurred in the next half century, as the Grand Strand became a major tourist and retirement area, the paper stepped up its publication schedule, becoming a full-fledged daily by 1977.
