Create is an American digital broadcast public television network broadcast on digital subchannels of PBS member stations. The network broadcasts how-to, DIY and other lifestyle-oriented instructional programming 24 hours a day. History Create TV was launched on WGBH-TV DTV/Comcast Cable and WLIW DTV/Cablevision digital services, WNET's sister station, in 2004. Create was launched nationally on January 9, 2006. In 2009, APT started looking for a national network underwriter, while seven stations had found local underwriters that covered their network fees. Ten stations at this time were inserting local programming. With rating data becoming available with more experience handling multicast channels and greater licensing fees, some public TV stations were changing their channel lineup. World Channel, also branded as World (stylized as WORLD), is an American digital multicast public television network owned and operated by the WGBH Educational Foundation. WGCU (channel 30) is a PBS member television station in Fort Myers, Florida, United States. Owned by Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU), it is a sister station to NPR member WGCU-FM (90.1). The two stations share studios on the FGCU campus in Fort Myers and transmitter facilities in unincorporated southern Charlotte County. Public television came to Southwest Florida when channel 30 began broadcasting as WSFP-TV on August 15, 1983. It was founded as a service of the University of South Florida (USF), which had a campus in Fort Myers. The station repeated USF's station in Tampa, WUSF-TV. In 1988, WSFP-TV moved into its first local studio facilities, enabling it to begin producing local programming and qualify for federal grants. Dabl () is an American digital multicast television network owned by the CBS Media Ventures subsidiary of Paramount Global and operated by Weigel Broadcasting. Dabl launched in September 2019 with a female-targeted lifestyle format.
