WGUF (98.9 kHz) is a commercial FM radio station licensed to Marco, Florida, and broadcasting to the Naples area of Florida's Gulf Coast. It airs a talk radio format and is owned by Renda Broadcasting. The station is known as Naples' FM Talk. WGUF has an effective radiated power (ERP) of 6,000 watts. The transmitter is off the Tamiami Trail (U.S. Route 41) near Auto Village Road in Lely Resort, Florida. Programming Weekdays begin with a local news and information show hosted by Dave Elliott. WWGR (101.9 FM broadcasting, FM), commonly called Gator Country 101.9, is a country music radio station based in the Fort Myers, Florida area. The station, which is owned by Renda Broadcasting, operates at 101.9 Megahertz, MHz with an Effective radiated power, ERP of 100 kW. This power gives it one of the best radio signals in all of Southwest Florida. Its transmitter is located off Corkscrew Road in Estero, Florida, Estero. This incredible signal also has its disadvantages, having exceptional interference with 101.9 "FM 101.9" WQMP, an alternative rock station licensed to Daytona Beach, but serves Orlando. Lely Resort, Florida
Lely Resort is a census-designated place (CDP) in Collier County, Florida, United States. The population was 4,646 at the 2010 census, up from 1,426 in 2000. It is part of the Naples–Marco Island Metropolitan Statistical Area. As of 2017, the population is 4,646. History and development Lely Resort was named after Cornelius van der Lely, a Dutch inventor. He bought around 25,000 acres of undeveloped land in 1972 with a plan to develop a community with more than 10,500 homes.
