WGSX (104.3 FM) is a radio station licensed to Lynn Haven, Florida, United States. The station serves the Northwest Florida area. The station is owned by Gold Standard Broadcasting, Inc.Gold Standard Broadcasting, Inc also owns WVLQ Port St Joe. History Previously licensed to Bayamon, Puerto Rico from April, 1980 to August 1995, the station went dark on November 16, 2012. It was operational in 2013 as "Power 104.3", a black gospel station. The station changed its call sign to WGSX on June 8, 2017. On June 26, 2017, WGSX returned to the air with ESPN sports, branded as "104.3 ESPN Panama City, then later increased their coverage area and became 104.3 ESPN Northwest Florida. Panama City is a city in and the county seat of Bay County, Florida, United States. Located along U.S. Highway 98 (US 98), it is the largest city between Tallahassee and Pensacola. It is the more populated city of the Panama City–Lynn Haven, Florida metropolitan statistical area. Panama City was severely damaged when Hurricane Michael made landfall as a Category 5 hurricane on October 10, 2018. Lynn Haven is a city in Bay County, Florida, United States, north of Panama City. The population was 18,493 at the 2010 census. Like many communities in Bay County, the city was severely damaged by Category 5 Hurricane Michael on October 10, 2018. History Lynn Haven was founded in 1911 by Union veterans from the American Civil War. The town was named after W. H. Lynn, a primary stockholder of the St. Andrews Bay Development Company, the corporation that owned and developed the land on which Lynn Haven grew.
