The station is currently owned by Loud Media. 850 AM is a United States clear-channel frequency. WKVL must leave the air from sunset to sunrise to avoid interference with the skywave signal of the dominant Class A station - KOA in Denver, Colorado. Licensed to LaFollette, Tennessee, United States, the station is owned by Loud Media LLC. History WTNQ was initially licensed as WQLA on August 2, 1982. It changed its callsign to WQLA-FM on November 1, 1991, and to WTNQ on May 16, 2008. On May 27, 2020, it was announced the station was to be acquired by Loud Media. On June 26, 2020, Loud Media took over the signal, which began stunting playing 60s-80s music with a pending launch of a new format. Motor Racing Network (MRN) is a U.S. radio network that syndicates broadcasts of auto racing events, particularly NASCAR. The company takes its name from an earlier network also named Westwood One, a company founded in 1978. Maryville is a city in and the county seat of Blount County, Tennessee, and is a suburb of Knoxville. Its population was 31,907 at the 2020 census. It is included in the Knoxville Metropolitan Area and a short distance from popular tourist destinations such as the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Dollywood, Gatlinburg, and Pigeon Forge.
