WFRQ (93.5 FM) — branded as 93.5/94.7 Frank FM — is a radio station licensed to Harwich Port, Massachusetts. It serves the Cape Cod market with an classic hits format. The station is also heard on 102.9 WPXC-HD2 ( Hyannis) via HD Radio and on 94.7 W234DP ( Hyannis), a translator for WPXC-HD2. Frank FM is the branding used by WBIN Media for its radio stations airing a classic hits radio format. The Frank FM format is similar to the Jack FM format in that these stations play around 1000 songs in regular rotation at any time as opposed to the average number of 300 to 600 songs heard regularly on most commercial radio stations. WPXC (102.9 MHz, "Pixy 103") is an FM radio station broadcasting a mainstream rock format. Licensed to Hyannis, Massachusetts, the station serves the Cape Cod area with its studios located on South Street in Hyannis and its transmitter in West Barnstable. History In February 2005, Ernie Boch, Sr. sold WPXC, WTWV, WDVT, WCOD, and WXTK to Qantum Communications. Due to the FCC's rules on ownership caps, Qantum had to put WTWV, WDVT, and WPXC up for a pending sale. In March 2005, Nassau Broadcasting Partners bought the three stations from Qantum Communications. WPXC's sister stations WTWV and WDVT became WFRQ and WFQR. WLIR was a radio station that played a new music/modern rock format on the frequencies 92.7 FM, 98.5 FM, and 107.1 FM from the 1980s into the 2000s. Chumbawamba
Chumbawamba () were a British rock band formed in 1982 and disbanded in 2012. They are best known for their 1997 single "Tubthumping", which was nominated for Best British Single at the 1998 Brit Awards. Other singles include "Amnesia", " Enough Is Enough" (with MC Fusion), " Timebomb", "Top of the World (Olé, Olé, Olé)", and "Add Me". The band drew on genres such as punk rock, pop, and folk.
