WEPH (channel 49) is a religious television station in Tupelo, Mississippi, United States, owned and operated by the Christian Television Network (CTN). The station's studios are located on County Road 1702 in Tupelo, and its transmitter is located northwest of Woodland, Mississippi. History The station was founded in October 2010. It is the only full-power television station (excepting the MPB stations in Booneville, Oxford and Mississippi State) in northeast Mississippi to have never been affiliated with a major commercial television network. Christian Television Network (CTN) is a non-profit broadcast television network of small owned-and-operated stations (O&O) that broadcasts religious programming. It is based in Largo, Florida (with a mailing address of Clearwater), and the flagship station is WCLF channel 22, which signed on the air in the Tampa Bay region in 1979. It is now available on DirecTV channel 376, Dish Network channel 262, and Glorystar channel 117. It was founded by Robert D'Andrea, who died in January 2022. Perry County is a county located in the U.S. state of Mississippi. As of the 2010 census, the population was 12,250. The county seat is New Augusta. The county is named after the War of 1812 naval hero, Oliver Hazard Perry. Perry County is part of the Hattiesburg, MS Metropolitan Statistical Area. Until 1906, the county seat was the old town of Augusta, near the center of the county on the east bank of the Leaf River. Amite County is a county located in the state of Mississippi on its southern border with Louisiana. As of the 2020 census, the population was 12,720. Its county seat is Liberty. The county is named after the Amite River, which runs through the county. Amite County is part of the McComb, MS Micropolitan Statistical Area.
