WELL-FM (88.7 FM) is a radio station licensed to serve Waverly, Alabama, United States. The station is owned by Alabama Christian Radio and the broadcast license is held by Alabama Christian Radio, Inc. It airs a Contemporary Christian music format. The station was assigned the WELL-FM call letters by the Federal Communications Commission on August 22, 1997. WKFR
WKFR (103.3 FM), also known as KFR, is a Top 40 outlet serving the Kalamazoo, Michigan radio market. It broadcasts with an ERP of 50 kW in Battle Creek, Michigan and is owned by Townsquare Media. History The station began operations in June 1963 as WELL-FM at 96.5 MHz, duplicating the programming of then-sister WELL/1400 (now WBFN). In 1964 WELL-AM-FM became WKFR-AM-FM; the AM station became Top 40 rocker "Keener 14" while the FM station, which also moved to 103.3 Megahertz, programmed Beautiful Music. In 1972 WKFR changed its calls to WKNR after those calls were dropped by the former WKNR in Detroit, but the FM station remained WKFR-FM. WBXX (FM)
WBXX (104.9 MHz) is a radio station in Battle Creek, Michigan. WBXX took over the 104.9 frequency formerly occupied by WRCC-FM in September 2007; its former 95.3 spot on the dial was taken over by WBCK-FM, and WRCC's classic rock format was discontinued. As WBXX "B95", 95.3 FM was a very popular CHR/Top 40 station in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Despite the station's high ratings (especially with younger listeners), B95 was unsuccessful in terms of revenue because it played hip-hop and rap music that was unpopular with local advertisers. This led the station to change format to oldies and later adult contemporary, with which WBXX continued to broadcast initially after moving to 104.9. 104.9 was originally WALM-FM (sister station to the now-defunct WALM 1260 AM in Albion, Michigan) and later WELL-FM with a middle-of-the-road format. Waverly, Alabama
Waverly is a town in Chambers and Lee counties in the U.S. state of Alabama. It is part of the Auburn Metropolitan Area. It was incorporated in 1910. As of 2010, the town population was 145. Battle Creek is a city in the U.S. state of Michigan, in northwest Calhoun County, Michigan, Calhoun County, at the confluence of the Kalamazoo River, Kalamazoo and Battle Creek River, Battle Creek rivers. Marshall is a U.S. city in Michigan. It is the county seat of Calhoun County. The population was 7,088 at the 2010 census.
