WCW Bash At The Beach
Bash at the Beach was a yearly professional wrestling pay-per-view (PPV) event produced by World Championship Wrestling (WCW). It was the company's PPV for the month of July, held from 1994–2000. As the title implied, the show centered on a beach theme. Due to its beach theme, the stage where wrestlers made their entrances was decorated with beach related items, such as surfboards and sand. The beach theme lended to its summer scheduling of July. The theme was also reflected in the places where WCW chose to hold the event; all of the shows emanated from cities in either Florida or California, two U.S. states renowned for their warm weather. SuperBrawl
SuperBrawl was an annual professional wrestling pay-per-view (PPV) event in World Championship Wrestling (WCW) held in May 1991 and February from 1992 through 2001. Along with Starrcade, Bash at the Beach, The Great American Bash, and Halloween Havoc, SuperBrawl was booked to be one of WCW's flagship pay-per-views. The first SuperBrawl was held in May, but from 1992 onward it was held in February to coincide with the Super Bowl, which inspired the SuperBrawl name. Events from 1992 to 1999 were identified by Roman numerals in its logo and announced on-screen with its corresponding number. The final installment in 2001 was the penultimate WCW PPV as the organization folded a month later. Sting holds the record for most appearances at the pay-per-view with eight. Kevin Francis Sullivan (born October 26, 1949) is an American professional wrestler and booker, perhaps best known for his role in World Championship Wrestling. The 1995 Bash at the Beach was the second Bash at the Beach professional wrestling pay-per-view (PPV) event produced by World Championship Wrestling (WCW). It took place on July 16, 1995 on the beach in Huntington Beach, California. Ten professional wrestling matches took place at the event, nine of which were broadcast live on pay-per-view. In the main event, Hulk Hogan defeated Vader to retain the WCW World Heavyweight Championship, marking Vader's final WCW pay-per-view match. In professional wrestling, a heel (also known as a ''rudo'' in '' lucha libre'') is a wrestler who portrays a villain, "bad guy", or "rulebreaker", and acts as an antagonist to the faces, who are the heroic protagonist or "good guy" characters. Not everything a heel wrestler does must be villainous: heels need only to be booed or jeered by the audience to be effective characters, although most truly successful heels embrace other aspects of their devious personalities, such as cheating to win or using foreign objects. Bash at the Beach (1996) was the third annual Bash at the Beach professional wrestling pay-per-view event produced by World Championship Wrestling (WCW). It took place on July 7, 1996 from the Ocean Center in Daytona Beach, Florida. The event is best remembered for Hulk Hogan's heel turn and the formation of the New World Order, which contributed greatly to the success of WCW in the mid-to-late 1990s. WCW World Heavyweight Championship
The WCW World Heavyweight Championship was a professional wrestling world heavyweight championship originally used in World Championship Wrestling (WCW) and later, the World Wrestling Federation (WWF, now WWE). It was the original world title of the World Championship Wrestling promotion, spun off from the NWA World Heavyweight Championship. It existed in WCW from 1991 to 2001. Following the acquisition of WCW by the WWF in March 2001, it became one of two world titles in the WWF, with its name being immediately abbreviated to the WCW Championship and finally, the World Championship in November.
