WWHX is an FM radio station on 100.7 MHz at Normal, Illinois. It received its license on January 10, 2006, and began its previous Rhythmic Top 40 format with the name Hot 100.7 on April 1, 2018. The station is a Neuhoff Media through licensee Neuhoff Media Bloomington, LLC. History 100.7 signed on in August 2005 as WVMG with an adult contemporary format known as Magic 100.7. Magic signed on as a direct competitor to Star 107.7, but had a better signal within Bloomington/Normal. The station had modest success but was able to eventually drive competitor Star 107.7 out of the format in 2007. Heyworth is a village in McLean County, Illinois, United States. It was founded in 1859. As of 2010, Heyworth had a population of 2,842. It is part of the Bloomington–Normal Metropolitan Statistical Area. History Heyworth was laid out by Campbell Wakefield on September 11, 1859. Before settlement, the locality now known as Heyworth was covered by a heavy growth of timber and underbrush which was inhabited by the Kickapoo Native Americans, and was supported a great number of deer, wild turkeys, and packs of large gray wolves. As settlers began to move West, families such as the Rutledges, Funks, Passwaters, Bishops, Nobles, Wakefields, and Martins settled in the immediate vicinity of the present Village of Heyworth as early as 1824.
