WAUG (AM)
WAUG (750 AM) is a radio station broadcasting a Mainstream urban format. Licensed to New Hope, North Carolina, United States, the station serves the Raleigh–Durham area. The station is owned by St. Augustine's University and features programming from American Urban Radio Networks and the Radio One-owned Syndication One. WAUG radio is a daytime-only operation, leaving the air at sunset to prevent interference to 50,000-watt WSB in Atlanta, the Class A clear-channel station on 750 AM. The university also runs a low-powered TV station, WAUG-LD (channel 8). WAUG-LD is carried by Spectrum Cable on digital cable channel 168 in Raleigh. WAUG-LD, virtual channel 8 and VHF digital terrestrial television, digital channel 4, is a Low-power broadcasting#Television, low-powered Independent television station city of license, licensed to Raleigh, North Carolina, United States. The station is owned by St. Augustine's University. On cable television, cable, the station can be seen on Spectrum (TV service), Spectrum digital tier channel 168 throughout much of the greater Raleigh service area. Much of its programming is oriented towards the African-American community, which include gospel music, religious programming, and community affairs. In addition students majoring in the Journalism and Mass Communications program at "St. Aug's" have the opportunity to work at the station in a laboratory setting to gain real-life experience while pursuing their degree. WFAM
WFAM (1050 kHz) is a commercial AM radio station in Augusta, Georgia. It has a Christian talk and teaching radio format and is owned by Wilkins Communications Network. WFAM carries shows by national Christian leaders as well as local preachers. Hosts include Charles Stanley, David Jeremiah, June Hunt and John MacArthur. It is a brokered programming station, in which hosts buy time on the station and may use their shows to ask for donations to their ministries. Some programming is provided by the Salem Radio Network. By day, WFAM is powered at 5,000 watts using a non-directional antenna. But because AM 1050 is a clear channel frequency, WFAM must greatly reduce power at night to 82 watts. WLUB (105.7 MHz) is a commercial FM radio station licensed to Augusta, Georgia. The station is owned by iHeartMedia, Inc. and airs a country music radio format. WLUB calls itself "105.7 The Bull." As with many country stations owned by iHeart, WLUB carries the nationally syndicated ''Bobby Bones Show'' from Nashville on weekday mornings.
