W. W. Hicks
William Wesley Hicks (July 9, 1843 – September 23, 1925) was an American politician. He served as a Democratic member of the Louisiana House of Representatives. Hicks was born in Darlington County, South Carolina. In 1900, he was elected to the Louisiana House of Representatives, succeeding McIntyre H. Sandlin. Hicks was succeeded by E. L. Stewart in 1904. After that, he served as a member of the Webster Parish Police Jury from 1904 to 1908. Hicks died in September 1925 in Shongaloo, Louisiana Shongaloo is a village in Webster Parish, Louisiana, United States. Darlington County is a county in the U.S. state of South Carolina. As of the 2020 census, its population was 62,905. Its county seat is Darlington. Hartsville is the largest city in the county. Darlington County is home to the Darlington Raceway, which hosts the annual NASCAR Southern 500. Darlington County is also home to Coker College in Hartsville. Shongaloo, Louisiana
Shongaloo is a village in Webster Parish, Louisiana, United States. West of Shongaloo on Louisiana Highway 2 is Munn Hill, a homestead of Daniel and Rebecca Munn, established on July 26, 1900. Shongaloo has a civic center for town council meetings as well as general usage. There is an adjacent museum with a restored log cabin. Geography Shongaloo is located at (32.938129, -93.298369). According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of , of which is land and (0.38%) is water. Claiborne Parish (french: Paroisse de Claiborne) is a List of parishes in Louisiana, parish located in the northwestern section of the U.S. state of Louisiana.
