Västerhaninge
Västerhaninge () is a locality situated in Haninge Municipality, Stockholm County, Sweden. It had 15,134 inhabitants in 2010. It is connected to Stockholm by commuter rail. Västerhaninge borders the large Hanveden forest to the north, the Jordbro locality to the east, an agricultural region to the south, and the Tungelsta area to the west. The locality lies 22 km from Stockholm and 6 km from Handen. Districts of the locality include Åbylund, Norrskogen, and Jägartorp in the north, and Ribbyberg and Nedersta in the south. The Stockholm-Nynäs railway runs through the town, and the original station building was demolished to make way for a new one in 1997. The nearby Tungelsta station is the only one in the region to survive from the railway's original construction. Residential, service and future Västerhaninge's several residential areas underwent expansion in the 1960s-1980s. Stockholm commuter rail ( sv, Stockholms pendeltåg) is the commuter rail system in Stockholm County, Sweden. The system is an important part of the public transport in Stockholm, and is controlled by Storstockholms Lokaltrafik. The tracks are state-owned and administered by the Swedish Transport Administration, while the operation of the Stockholm commuter rail services itself has been contracted to MTR Nordic since December 2016. Haninge Municipality
Haninge Municipality (''Haninge kommun'') is a municipality in Stockholm County in east central Sweden. Its seat is located in Handen, a part of the Stockholm urban area. Haninge Municipality was formed in 1971 when ''Västerhaninge'' and ''Österhaninge'' were united. The municipal coat of arms depicts a capercaillie from which the name Haninge is believed to have been derived (the German word ''hahn'' means capercaillie), while the anchor symbolizes the naval base in the municipality. The German word usage is supposedly from the old German Hansa traders who operated in the area. Geography Haninge cherishes its nature, housing the southern parts of the scenic Stockholm archipelago. Berga is partly an estate and partly an associated castle in Västerhaninge socken in Haninge Municipality, in Södertörn in Södermanland and in Stockholm County, Sweden. The Stockholm Sweden Temple ( sv, Templet i Stockholm) is the 34th operating temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The temple sits on a lot with six spires rising above the pines in the nearby forest. A cobblestone path leads to its doors. The Stockholm Sweden Temple has a total of , four ordinance rooms, and three sealing rooms. The temple serves Latter-day Saints from the countries of Sweden, Norway, and Latvia. Jordbro
Jordbro is a suburban locality situated in Haninge Municipality, Stockholm County, Sweden with 10,291 inhabitants in 2010. The suburb is separated in two by the Stockholm commuter rail. Route 73 (Nynäsvägen), passes just east of Jordbro and connects Stockholm and Nynäshamn. East of the railway lies a housing area built as part of the Million Programme, in the 1960s and 1970s. The housing area is made up of blocks of flats, with single family homes to the north and to the south. To the west of the housing area and the railway lies a relatively large industrial area, containing the main offices and production plant of The Coca-Cola Company in Sweden. Dagab, Lagena, Osram and Åhlens also have distribution warehouses in the industrial area. Häringe Castle
Häringe Castle (''Häringe slott'') is a former manor house in Södermanland, Sweden. It is located about 35 km south of Stockholm and lies within the Häringe-Hammersta Nature Reserve. History The current main building was built on the initiative of Gustav Horn, Count of Pori (1592–1657) and was completed in 1657. After Gustaf Horn's death, the manor was inherited by their daughter Agneta Horn (1629–1672). Häringe was inherited by Agneta Horn's granddaughter Agneta Wrede in 1696 and in 1730 by her daughter Hedvig Catharina De la Gardie (1695–1745) wife of Magnus Julius De la Gardie.
