Vuk Radojević
Vuk Radojević ( sr-cyr, Вук Радојевић; born 1978) is an agrarian economist and politician in Serbia. He is currently serving his third term as mayor of Bečej and was the minister of agriculture, water management, and forestry in the Government of Vojvodina from 2016 to 2020. Radojević is a member of the Serbian Progressive Party. Early life and private career Radojević was born in Bečej, in what was then the Socialist Autonomous Province of Vojvodina in the Socialist Republic of Serbia, Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia. He was raised in the community and subsequently earned a bachelor's degree (2002), master's degree (2007), and Ph.D. (2018) from the University of Novi Sad's Faculty of Agriculture, focusing on the field of agro-economy. His master's thesis considered export opportunities of agro-industrial products to the European Union. A coalition government is a form of government in which political parties cooperate to form a government. New Serbia (political Party)
New Serbia ( sr-cyrl, Нова Србија, Nova Srbija, NS) is a right-wing political party in Serbia. It was established in 1998 by a group of dissidents led by Velimir Ilić from the Serbian Renewal Movement (SPO). History New Serbia was part of the Democratic Opposition of Serbia (DOS) bloc which defeated Slobodan Milošević in the 2000 presidential election. The party took part in the 2003 parliamentary election in coalition with the Serbian Renewal Movement. Tomislav Nikolić
Tomislav Nikolić ( sr-Cyrl, Томислав Николић, ; born 15 February 1952) is a Serbian retired politician who served as the president of Serbia from 2012 to 2017. A former member of the far-right Serbian Radical Party (SRS), he disassociated himself with the party in 2008 and formed the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) which he led until 2012. Born in village Bajčetina near Kragujevac, Nikolić was a long-time member of parliament for SRS. He served as the Deputy Prime Minister of Serbia from 1998 to 1999 and Deputy Prime Minister of FR Yugoslavia in the coalition government from 1999 to 2000. Choice for a Better Life ( sr, Избор за бољи живот, Izbor za bolji život) was a political coalition in Serbia, headed by Boris Tadić and his Democratic Party. They competed in the 2012 parliamentary election and won 22.07% of the popular vote. Slobodan Zlokolica
Slobodan ( sr-Cyrl, Слободан) is a Serbo-Croatian masculine given name which means "free" (''sloboda'' / meaning "freedom, liberty") used among other South Slavs as well. It was coined by Serbian liberal politician Vladimir Jovanović who, inspired by John Stuart Mill's essay '' On Liberty'' baptised his son as Slobodan in 1869 and his daughter Pravda (Justice) in 1871. It became popular in both Kingdom of Yugoslavia (1918–1945) and the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia (1945–1991) among various ethnic groups within Yugoslavia and therefore today there are also Slobodans among Croats, Slovenes and other Yugoslav peoples. 2020 Vojvodina Provincial Election
Provincial elections were held in Vojvodina on 21 June 2020. Initially organised for 26 April 2020, they were postponed by a state of emergency due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Serbia.
