Jessey Voorn
Jessey Voorn (born 17 March 1990 in Amsterdam) is a Dutch professional basketball player who last played for Heroes Den Bosch. Voorn is 6 ft 4 tall and plays the shooting guard position. Professional career Voorn started his professional career with ABC Amsterdam in 2007, where he was mainly on the bench at first. With Amsterdam he won the Dutch championship in 2009. When the club was forced to play without foreign players, Voorn got major minutes with ABC. In the 2010-11 season Voorn averaged 13.7 points per game in the Dutch Basketball League. After his break-out season, the club from Amsterdam went bankrupt and Voorn went to Groningen to play for the GasTerra Flames. After the 2013–14 season, Voorn left Groningen. Joris Voorn
Joris Voorn (; born 25 February 1977 in Tilburg) is a Dutch DJ and record producer who lives in Amsterdam. Voorn is the co-owner of the Amsterdam-based labels Rejected (with Edwin Oosterwal) and Green. Biography A DJ competition in Enschede started Voorn' music career. In 2002 he released an EP, "Muted Trax". This release, as well as support from Carl Craig, Derrick May and Laurent Garnier made him decide to focus on his DJing career. In 2003 his "Lost Memories" EP became another underground hit. In the same year Voorn was crowned Talent of the Year at the Dutch DJ Awards. In 2009 he released the "Balance014" compilation, which mixed 100 songs into a double CD, morphing them into a collective mix. Orlando Voorn
Orlando Voorn (born 25 April 1968, in Amsterdam) is a Dutch DJ and electronic music Record producer, producer. As a solo artist he has released work since the early 80s under a large amount of aliases containing Balance, Frequency, Baruka, Basic Bastard, Fix, Dope Dog, Boy, Stalker and The Nighttripper. He also produced tracks with Blake Baxter under the name Ghetto Brothers and with Jeff Porter as Designer Loops. Voorn won the Dutch Disco Mix Club, DMC DJ Championships in 1986 which meant the beginning of a large number of released tracks. Joop Voorn
Joop Voorn ( 16 October 1932, in The Hague – 11 July 2021, in Tilburg) was a Dutch composer. Biography Joop Voorn sang in the parish boys' choir "Ex ore infantium": Gregorian chant, Perosi, but also Palestrina, Bruckner and Jan Mul. He took piano lessons and studied piano, organ and harmony from 1946 to 1951 with Jean Claessens in Weert. From 1952 to 1966 he studied philosophy and theology, including in Rome, where he also took counterpoint lessons with Edgardo Carducci at the Istituto Pontificio di Musica Sacra. He also worked as a lecturer in theology. In 1966 he did a master's degree in dogmatic theology in Nijmegen with Edward Schillebeeckx, cum laude, with a thesis on "Law and Gospel" in Helmut Thielicke's Theological Ethik I. Dick Voorn
Dick "Cookie" Voorn (born 30 October 1948 in Uithoorn, North Holland) is a football coach. Until recently he was one of the assistant managers at the Netherlands national team. Voorn made his first steps in professional football in the 1990s when he became assistant manager at Fortuna Sittard where he worked alongside Bert van Marwijk. The two, as well as rehabilitation coach Egid Kiesouw became close friends and a dynamic trio. Together they brought Fortuna Sittard into the 1999 KNVB Cup final.
