The group consists of bassist Raad Soudani, vocalists Michael Barr and Myke Terry, and drummer Nick Ursich. Volumes debuted their first EP, ''The Concept of Dreaming'', in 2010. This was followed with their debut album, ''Via (Volumes album), Via'' (2011), and their sophomore album, ''No Sleep (Volumes album), No Sleep'', in 2014. The band is influenced by other progressive acts such as Cynic and Dream Theater. The band gained notice as part of the Progressive Nation 2009 tour with Dream Theater, Zappa Plays Zappa and Bigelf. The Warped Tour was a traveling rock tour that toured the United States plus three or four stops in Canada annually each summer from 1995 until 2019.
