Voices In Your Head
Voices in Your Head is a student-run a cappella group from the University of Chicago who aim to "push the bounds of contemporary a cappella." Founded in 1998, the group has consisted of both undergraduate and graduate students whose studies range from Economics to Music to MD/PhD programs. Its unique repertoire includes original pieces, as well as an eclectic mix of pop, R&B, rock, and alternative music. Voices competes regularly in the International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella (ICCA) and releases studio recordings of their arrangements. History 1998—2008 Voices in Your Head was formed in the fall of 1998 by members who realized there were no 'funky' performance organizations at the University of Chicago. ''Voices'' (2006) is the second book in the trilogy '' Annals of the Western Shore'', a young adult fantasy series by Ursula K. Le Guin. It is preceded in the series by ''Gifts'' (2004) and followed by '' Powers'' (2007). The story is set in the fictional city of Ansul, once famed as a center of learning, but invaded and subjugated by the Alds, a desert people who believe the written word to be evil. The protagonist, Memer Galva, is the child of a woman raped by an Ald soldier. Voices (British Band)
Voices are a black metal band from London founded in 2011. Formed by former members of Akercocke, the band has described itself as seeking to produce "extreme and challenging music." Biography Voices was formed in 2011 by David Gray, Sam Loynes, and Peter Benjamin following the break-up of Akercocke. In 2012, Voices signed with Candlelight Records. The band released its debut, ''From the Human Forest Create a Fugue of Imaginary Rain'' in 2013. Peter Benjamin explained that the band was heavily influenced by movies, particularly the 2009 film ''Tony (2009 film), Tony London Serial Killer'' by Gerard Johnson. He described the film as "about a guy who just can't connect with reality at all or people or anything. ''Voices'' is the second studio album by American electronic rock duo Phantogram, released February 18, 2014 by Republic Records. It was produced by the band and John Hill. Steven Drozd of the Flaming Lips contributed to the song "Never Going Home". ''Voices'' is the debut album by English soul singer Kenny Thomas, released in 1991. ''Voices'' is the second and final studio album by American rock band Matchbook Romance. The album's sound leaves behind much of the stripped down sound of their debut, ''Stories and Alibis'', opting for a darker, more foreboding tone.
