Vocea României (season 1)
The first season of the Romanian reality talent show ''Vocea României'' premiered on September 27, 2011 on ProTV and was hosted by Pavel Bartoș and Roxana Ionescu, while Vlad Roșca was the social media correspondent. Horia Brenciu, Loredana Groza, Smiley and Marius Moga were the coaches for the first season. Each coach was allowed to mentor twelve contestants. The winner was Ștefan Stan from Team Smiley. The season finale aired on December 26, 2011. It immediately proved to be a hit for ProTV and the network renewed the show for a second season. Overview The series consists of three phases: a blind audition (), a battle phase () and live performance shows (). Four coaches, all famous musicians, choose teams of contestants through a blind audition process. Each coach has the length of the auditioner's performance (about two minutes) to decide if they want that singer on their team; if two or more coaches want the same singer, then the singer gets to choose their coach. Pavel Bartoș (; born 20 January 1975 Miercurea Ciuc, Romania) is a Romanian people, Romanian actor and television presenter, known for hosting ''Românii au talent'' (Romanian's Got Talent) and ''The Voice of Romania''. Also the presenter was chosen by Disney Pixar to provide the Romanian voice of Randall in ''Monsters, Inc.'' and ''Monsters University''. Delilah (Tom Jones Song)
"Delilah" is a song recorded by Welsh singer Tom Jones in December 1967. The lyrics were written by Barry Mason, and the music by Les Reed, who also contributed the title and theme of the song. It earned Reed and Mason the 1968 Ivor Novello award for Best Song Musically and Lyrically. Music and lyrics Although the song is a soulful number set in triple metre, the underlying genre may be considered to be a power ballad. Produced by Peter Sullivan, Jones's version features a big-band accompaniment set to a flamenco rhythm. The pitch of the final note is A4. Flamenco was a surprising choice, since there is no reference to Spain anywhere in the song. "Bensonhurst Blues" is a song written by Artie Kaplan and Artie Kornfeld. It was originally released in 1971 on Kaplan's album ''Confessions Of A Male Chauvinist Pig''. Oscar Benton went on to record the song in 1973 for his '' Bensonhurst Blues'' album and again, eight years later, for the soundtrack for the French film ''Pour la peau d'un flic''. The latter version was subsequently released by EMI Records and enjoyed success in Europe. One of Benton's recordings also appears in the 1999 film '' La Bûche''. Queen (band)
Queen are a British rock band formed in London in 1970 by Freddie Mercury (lead vocals, piano), Brian May (guitar, vocals) and Roger Taylor (drums, vocals), later joined by John Deacon (bass). Their earliest works were influenced by progressive rock, hard rock and heavy metal, but the band gradually ventured into more conventional and radio-friendly works by incorporating further styles, such as arena rock and pop rock. Before forming Queen, May and Taylor had played together in the band Smile. Mercury was a fan of Smile and encouraged them to experiment with more elaborate stage and recording techniques.
