Factor X (Spain)
''Factor X'' is the Spanish version of the British television music competition ''The X Factor'', created by Simon Cowell. The show, first aired on Cuatro between 2007 and 2008, following the British format from 2005 to 2006, with three categories, mentored by one judge each, whom choose the acts to represent the category in the live shows. The judges were singer and DJ Miqui Puig, music manager and headhunter Eva Perales and music radio producer Jorge Flo. Nuria Roca hosted the show. The first season was won by María Villalón. Cuatro (stylized as cuatro°, "Four") is a Spanish free-to-air television channel that was launched in November 2005. Owned by Mediaset España, the Spanish subsidiary of the Italian Mediaset group, it is broadcast on TV frequencies licensed to the previous owner Sogecable in 1990 and previously used by them for the analogue transmission of its pay-per-view channel Canal+. María Villalón
María Villalón Sánchez (born 1 April 1989 in Ronda, Málaga, Spain), is a Spanish singer and most notably the winner of the first series of the Spanish version of ''The X Factor'' in 2007. Biography Villalón grew up singing from an early age. She attended a music conservatory, learning to play cello when she was 10. She published two studio albums with a small Andalusian record label.
