Vlado Čapljić
Vladan "Vlado" Čapljić (Serbian Cyrillic: Владан Владо Чапљић; born 22 March 1962) is a Bosnian professional football manager and former player. Playing career Club Čapljić started playing in the youth teams of hometown club Željezničar where he played until 1985. With them, he reached the semi-finals of the 1984–85 UEFA Cup. Next, Čapljić moved to Belgrade to play with Partizan where he won two national championships, in 1986 and 1987. In January 1988, he moved to Dinamo Zagreb where he played until 1990. Čapljić then returned briefly to Željezničar, before, in 1992, deciding to move abroad, to Portugal, where he played for lower league club Esposende, before hanging up his boots in 1994. International Čapljić played for all the youth selections, before making his senior debut for Yugoslavia in a March 1984 friendly match against Hungary and has earned a total of 4 caps, scoring no goals. Fudbalski klub Mačva Šabac () is a Serbian professional football club based in Šabac. One of the oldest football clubs in Serbia, their nickname is (). The 1985–86 Yugoslav First League season was marked by scandal and controversy due to allegedly wide match-fixing during the last week of fixtures. Summary After the last week was played, FK Partizan was crowned champion due to better goal difference than second-placed Red Star Belgrade. However, after weeks of public pressure and huge public outcry, on 20 June 1986, the Yugoslav FA presidency headed by Slavko Šajber decided to impose extraordinary measures that included the following: *voiding the already played week 34 matches of the 1985–86 season and ordering a replay of every single one (nine fixtures in total) *docking 6 points from each of the 12 clubs suspected of being involved in match-fixing, meaning they would start the following league season with -6 points Each club agreed to play the replay except for Partizan. Serbian Cyrillic Alphabet
The Serbian Cyrillic alphabet ( sr, / , ) is a variation of the Cyrillic script used to write the Serbian language, updated in 1818 by Serbian linguist Vuk Stefanović Karadžić, Vuk Karadžić. It is one of the two alphabets used to write standard modern Serbian language, Serbian, the other being Gaj's Latin alphabet. Karadžić based his alphabet on the previous Slavonic-Serbian script, following the principle of "write as you speak and read as it is written", removing obsolete letters and letters representing iotified vowels, introducing from the Latin alphabet instead, and adding several consonant letters for sounds specific to Serbian phonology. The association football (soccer) tournament at the 1984 Summer Olympics started on July 29 and ended on August 11, taking place throughout the United States. It was the first Olympic soccer competition in which officially professional players were allowed. Until then, the amateur-only rule had heavily favored socialist countries from the Eastern Bloc whose players were professionals in all but name. However, as agreed with FIFA to preserve the primacy of the World Cup, the Olympic competition was restricted to players with no more than five "A" caps at tournament start, regardless of age. The 1984 Summer Olympics (officially the Games of the XXIII Olympiad and also known as Los Angeles 1984) were an international multi-sport event held from July 28 to August 12, 1984, in Los Angeles, California, United States. It marked the second time that Los Angeles had hosted the Games, the first being in 1932. California was the home state of the incumbent U.S. President Ronald Reagan, who officially opened the Games.
