Vladislav Anisovich
Vladislav Leopoldovich Anisovich (russian: Владислав Леопольдович Анисович) (June 7, 1908 in Lugansk – August 30, 1969 in Alupka) was a Russian and Soviet painter and art educator, who lived and worked in Leningrad, a member of the Leningrad Union of Soviet Artists, professor of the Repin Institute of Arts, regarded as one of representatives of the Leningrad School of Painting. Mostly known for his portrait paintings. Biography Vladislav Leopoldovich Anisovich was born June 7, 1908 in industrial city of Lugansk, in the Yekaterinoslav Governorate of the Russian Empire (present-day Ukraine). In 1927-1928 He studied at the Kharkov Art Institute, then came to Moscow to continue his education in VKHUTEIN. Lugansk
Luhansk (, ; uk, Луганськ, ), also known as Lugansk (, ; russian: Луганск, ), is a city in what is internationally recognised as Ukraine, although it is administered by Russia as capital of the Luhansk People's Republic (LPR). As of 2021, the population was estimated to be 399,559, making Luhansk the most populous city in the region and the 12th largest in Ukraine. In 2001, nearly half of the population was ethnically Ukrainian, and 47% was ethnically Russian. Alexander Savinov
Alexander Ivanovich Savinov (russian: Алекса́ндр Ива́нович Сави́нов, July 17, 1881 – February 25, 1942) was a Russian and Soviet painter and art educator who lived and worked in Saint Petersburg (Leningrad). He was a member of the Leningrad Union of Artists, regarded as one of the founders of the Leningrad School of painting. Biography Savinov was born on July 17, 1881, in Saratov in the family of the merchant - timber merchants. In 1902-1908 Savinov studied at the Imperial Academy of Fine Arts in Saint Petersburg at Dmitry Kardovsky and Yan Tsionglinsky. After graduation he traveled to Italy as a pensioner of the Academy of Fine Arts. After returning from Italy Savinov begins his teaching career, which will continue until the end of life.
