Vladimir Egorov
Vladimir Egorov (born 27 June 1995 in Sakha) is a Russian-born Macedonian freestyle wrestler of Yakut heritage. He won the gold medal in the 57kg event at the 2022 European Wrestling Championships held in Budapest, Hungary. Career Egorov won one of the bronze medals in the 57kg event at the 2019 European Wrestling Championships held in Bucharest, Romania. He represented North Macedonia at the 2019 European Games held in Minsk, Belarus in the 57 kg event without winning a medal. In the same year, he also competed in the 57kg event at the World Wrestling Championships held in Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan where he was eliminated in his first match by Daton Fix. In 2020, Egorov competed in the 61kg event at the European Wrestling Championships held in Rome, Italy. He was eliminated in his first match by Arsen Harutyunyan of Armenia. 2021 World Wrestling Championships
The 2021 World Wrestling Championships was the 17th edition of the World Wrestling Championships of combined events and was held from 2 to 10 October 2021 in Oslo, Norway. The event was subsequent to the 2019 World Championships due to the cancelation of the 2020 edition during the COVID-19 pandemic. Mediterranean Games
The Mediterranean Games is a multi-sport event organised by the International Committee of Mediterranean Games (CIJM). It is held every four years among athletes from countries bordering the Mediterranean Sea in Africa, Asia and Europe. Daton Fix
Daton Duain Fix (born March 11, 1998) is an American freestyle and folkstyle wrestler who competes internationally at 61 kilograms, and collegiately at 133 pounds. In freestyle, he was the 2021 World Championship runner-up, the 2019 Pan American Games gold medalist, the 2022 Pan American Continental champion and is a two-time US World Team Member (2019 and 2021). In the age-group, he was the 2017 Junior World Champion (three-time medalist) and 2014 Youth Olympic silver medalist. In folkstyle, he is a three-time NCAA Division I National runner–up, and a two-time and the reigning Big 12 Conference champion for the Oklahoma State Cowboys. The Yakuts, or the Sakha ( sah, саха, ; , ), are a Turkic ethnic group who mainly live in the Republic of Sakha in the Russian Federation, with some extending to the Amur, Magadan, Sakhalin regions, and the Taymyr and Evenk Districts of the Krasnoyarsk region.
