Vladimir Dvalishvili
Vladimir "Lado" Dvalishvili ( ka, ვლადიმერ დვალიშვილი; born 20 April 1986 in Tbilisi) is a Georgian former footballer who now works for Dinamo Batumi as their Sport Director. Career Dvalishvili was signed by Olimpi Rustavi in June 2006. On 7 July 2009, Dvalishvili signed a two-year contract with the Israeli champions Maccabi Haifa. Dvalishvili made his debut on 2009–10 UEFA Champions League Second qualifying round, 15 July 2009, against Glentoran and scored two goals. In the next round, against Aktobe, Dvalishvili scored the last two goals in Maccabi Haifa's great comeback – scoring four straight goals after falling down 3–0 in the first 15 minutes of the match. In January 2012, Dvalishvili joined Polish club Polonia Warsaw in the Ekstraklasa on a two-and-a-half-year contract. Georgia National Under-21 Football Team
The Georgia national under-21 football team is the national under-21 football team of Georgia and is controlled by the Georgian Football Federation. The team is considered to be the feeder team for the senior Georgian national football team. The team competes in the European Under-21 Football Championship, held every two years. Since the establishment of the Georgian under-21 side, the under-21 side has never reached a final tournament of the UEFA European Under-21 Football Championship. 2010 FIFA World Cup Qualification (UEFA)
The European zone of qualification for the 2010 FIFA World Cup saw 53 teams competing for 13 places at the finals in South Africa. The qualification process started on 20 August 2008, nearly two months after the end of UEFA Euro 2008, and ended on 18 November 2009. Glentoran Football Club is a professional football club that plays in the NIFL Premiership. The club was founded in 1882. History Early history In 1914, Glentoran won the Vienna Cup, becoming the first United Kingdom team to win a European trophy, although as this competition took place several decades before the formation of UEFA, it is not recognised as such. 1960s George Best watched Glentoran with his grandfather as a youth, but was rejected by the club for being "too small and light".
