Vlad Chiricheș
Vlad Iulian Chiricheș (; born 14 November 1989) is a Romanian professional footballer who plays for club Cremonese and captains the Romania national team. Primarily a centre-back, he can also be deployed as a right-back or a defensive midfielder. Chiricheș spent the first part of his senior career with Internațional Curtea de Argeș, Pandurii Târgu Jiu and Steaua București. He helped the latter to a Liga I title and a Supercupa României, before transferring in 2013 to Tottenham Hotspur in a then- Romania record sale of €9.5 million. After two seasons in the Premier League, he signed for Napoli in Italy. In 2020, following an initial loan, Chiricheș was acquired by Sassuolo for a €11 million fee. A full international for Romania since September 2011, Chiricheș has earned over 70 caps for the country and represented it at the UEFA Euro 2016. The 2012–13 UEFA Europa League was the 42nd season of Europe's secondary club football tournament organised by UEFA, and the 4th season since it was renamed from the UEFA Cup to the UEFA Europa League. Târgu Jiu
Târgu Jiu () is the capital of Gorj County in the Oltenia region of Romania. It is situated on the Southern Sub-Carpathians, on the banks of the river Jiu. Eight localities are administered by the city: Bârsești, Drăgoieni, Iezureni, Polata, Preajba Mare, Romanești, Slobozia and Ursați. Victor Pițurcă
Victor Pițurcă (; born 8 May 1956) is a Romanian professional football manager and former player. Club career Pițurcă was born in Orodel, Dolj County. He joined Universitatea Craiova as a youth in 1970, aged 14, and four years later he was loaned to Dinamo Slatina, a club from Romania's Liga II, in order to gain more experience, before being called back to Craiova in 1975, making his debut for the team in November that year. As he was not used much by Universitatea, Pițurcă left the club in 1977 to join Pandurii Târgu Jiu and then FC Drobeta Turnu-Severin, from where he was signed by FC Olt, thus returning to play in Liga I. In 1983, he was requested by Steaua, helping the club to reach its highest peak in European football. Alexandru Iulian Maxim (; born 8 July 1990) is a Romanian professional footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder for Süper Lig club Beşiktaş, on loan from Gaziantep, and the Romania national team.
