Vivian Kingma
Vivian Jilling Kingma (born 23 October 1994) is a Dutch cricketer. He played for the Netherlands in the 2014 ICC World Twenty20 tournament. He was initially selected in the Netherlands' squad for the 2015 ICC World Twenty20 Qualifier tournament in July 2015, but was replaced by Roelof van der Merwe. He made his Twenty20 International debut for the Netherlands against Scotland on 5 February 2016. In December 2017, he took a hat-trick and his first five-wicket haul in List A cricket while playing for the Netherlands against Namibia in the 2015–17 ICC World Cricket League Championship. In July 2019, he was selected to play for the Rotterdam Rhinos in the inaugural edition of the Euro T20 Slam cricket tournament. However, the following month the tournament was cancelled. Roelof Van Der Merwe
Roelof Erasmus van der Merwe (born 31 December 1984) is a Dutch-South African professional cricketer who has played internationally for both South Africa and the Netherlands, one of the few players to represent more than one international team. Born in Johannesburg, Van der Merwe made his first-class and List A debuts for Northerns during the 2006–07 season, before moving into franchise cricket with Titans the following season. An all-rounder he bowls left-arm orthodox spin and is a right-handed middle-order batsman. He played ODI and Twenty20 International cricket for South Africa between 2009 and 2011, playing 13 times in each format. Ball Tampering
In the sport of cricket, ball tampering is an action in which a fielder illegally alters the condition of the ball. The primary motivation of ball tampering is to interfere with the aerodynamics of the ball to aid swing bowling. Definition Under Law 41, subsection 3 of the Laws of Cricket, the ball may be polished without the use of an artificial substance, may be dried with a towel if it is wet, and have mud removed from it under supervision; all other actions which alter the condition of the ball are illegal. These are usually taken to include rubbing the ball on the ground, scuffing with a fingernail or other sharp object, or tampering with the seam of the ball. Dutch Cricket Team Against Afghanistan In Qatar In 2021–22
The Netherlands cricket team toured Qatar in January 2022 to play three One Day International (ODI) matches against Afghanistan. The ODI series formed part of the inaugural 2020–2023 ICC Cricket World Cup Super League. All three matches were played at the West End Park International Cricket Stadium in Doha. Prior to the series, Hashmatullah Shahidi was named as Afghanistan's ODI captain, after he had been named as Asghar Afghan's replacement. Afghanistan won the first ODI by 36 runs. With a century from Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Afghanistan won the second ODI by 48 runs to win the series with a match to play. In the third and final ODI, Afghanistan won by 75 runs, to take the series 3–0. Following the series, Dutch bowler Vivian Kingma was found guilty of ball tampering, and was given a four-match ban. Euro T20 Slam
The Euro T20 Slam is a planned professional Twenty20 cricket league. The first edition of the tournament was initially scheduled to start in August 2019, with matches to be held in Ireland, Scotland and the Netherlands. It's launch has been postponed on several occasions due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. History In March 2019, Cricket Scotland, Cricket Ireland and Royal Dutch Cricket Association officially announced the Euro T20 Slam. It was to start on 30 August and conclude on 22 September 2019 and feature 33 matches. The tournament was to have six city-based franchise teams, two each from Ireland, Scotland and the Netherlands. In April 2019, six cities were awarded a franchise: Belfast and Dublin in Ireland, Glasgow and Edinburgh in Scotland, and Amsterdam and Rotterdam in the Netherlands.
