Vitamalt
''Vitamalt'' is a brand of non-alcoholic malt beverages manufactured and originated in Denmark and its taste might be described as sweet, unfermented beer. High on nutrients and vitamins, Vitamalt is a drink designed as an energy supplement. It is available in about 70 countries, but it is most widely known in the West Indies, where over time it has attained the status of a cultural symbol. The manufacturers have sponsored sporting events and clubs throughout the Caribbean. Cycling, running, basketball, football and amateur sports are activities that Vitamalt is usually associated with. Supermalt
Supermalt is a non-alcoholic, caffeine-free malt drink that was originally developed for the Nigerian Army in 1972. It has a high content of B vitamins, minerals and nutrients, and has a balance of carbohydrates that supposedly allow instant absorption. It is dark brown in colour and has a sweet flavour. Supermalt may be purchased in 330ml glass bottles, or cans, sold individually or in their respective six-packs. Supermalt is now produced by Royal Unibrew A/S in Denmark. It is most popular among the African and African-Caribbean community. Malt is germinated cereal grain that has been dried in a process known as " malting". The grain is made to germinate by soaking in water and is then halted from germinating further by drying with hot air.
