Vitaliy Skomarovskyi
Bishop Vitaliy Skomarovskyi ( uk, Віталій Скомаровський; ''pol. Witalij Skomarowski''; born 30 December 1963 in Berdychiv, Zhytomyr Oblast, Ukrainian SSR) is a Ukrainian Roman Catholic prelate as the diocesan bishop of Lutsk since 12 April 2014. Previously he served as the titular bishop of Bencenna and auxiliary bishop of Roman Catholic Diocese of Kyiv-Zhytomyr since 7 April 2003 until 12 April 2014 and as an apostolic administrator of the same diocese from 31 May 2016 until 30 April 2017. Life Bishop Skomarovskyi was born in the Polish Roman-Catholic family in Zhytomyr Oblast. After graduation of the school education in his native town, he graduated a medical college, made a compulsory service in the Soviet Army and subsequently joined the Major Theological Seminary in Riga, Latvia. Berdychiv ( uk, Берди́чів, ; pl, Berdyczów; yi, באַרדיטשעװ, Barditshev; russian: Берди́чев, Berdichev) is a historic city in the Zhytomyr Oblast (province) of northern Ukraine. Bishop Vitaliy Kryvytskyi or Vitaliy Krivitskiy, S.D.B. ( uk, Віталій Кривицький; born 19 August 1972 in Odesa, Ukrainian SSR) is a Ukrainian Roman Catholic prelate serving as the diocesan bishop of Kyiv–Zhytomyr since 30 April 2017. Life Bishop Kryvytskyi was born in the Polish family of Frants Kryvytskyi (Krzywicki) in Southern Ukraine. His Christian life was inspired by Fr. Tadeusz Hoppe, S.D.B., so after secondary school he joined the Salesians of Don Bosco in 1989. He made his solemn profession on 27 July 1996, and was ordained as priest on 24 May 1997, after graduation from the Major Theological Seminary in Grodno, Belarus (1990–1991) and Major Theological Salesian Seminary in Kraków, Poland (1991–1997). Petro Herkulan Malchuk, O.F.M. ( uk, Петро Геркулан Мальчук; ''pol. Piotr Malczuk'' 7 July 1965 – 27 May 2016) was the Roman Catholic Archbishop of Kyiv-Zhytomyr.
