Vitacit
Vitacit is a Czech hard rock/heavy metal band founded in Roztoky U Prahy, a town within the Prague district, in 1973. History Early years: 1973–1985 The formation of Vitacit began in 1973, under the name Smetiště, in Roztoky U Prahy. The founding members were Karel Adam on drums, Jiří Voldřich on bass, and Jiří Kadlec on guitar and vocals. The name Smetiště, meaning "junkyard", was unpopular, and the band eventually picked Vitacit, a popular brand of drink crystals, instead. During these early years, Vitacit saw limited success. Halcyon days: 1985–1991 The band underwent a number of lineup changes since their formation, and in 1985, they were joined by vocalist Ladislav Křížek (Kreyson, Citron) and guitarist Miloš "Dodo" Doležal. Ladislav Křížek
Ladislav Křížek (born 24 April 1963) is a Czech singer, songwriter, and guitarist active since the mid-1980s. At the beginning of his career, from 1985 to 1987, he sang with the heavy metal band Vitacit. He later joined the group Citron (band), Citron, recording one album with them in 1987, one in 2001, and one more after rejoining, in 2015. He went on to form his own band, Kreyson, in 1989. To date, they have released five studio albums. In 1997, he created the group Damiens with his brother Miroslav. The duo has released three studio albums. Křížek has also published four solo studio albums since 1991. Miloš "Dodo" Doležal
Miloš "Dodo" Doležal (born 12 August 1966) is a Czech guitarist, composer, singer, and producer who has released a number of solo albums since 1991. He gained fame in the late 1980s as the frontman of the heavy metal band Vitacit. He has also played with the band Pražský výběr and spearheaded the supergroup Zemětřesení. Biography Early career and Vitacit Doležal began singing in a children's choir in his hometown of Karviná. Some of his earliest musical projects include stints with the bands Kennel, Asparagus, Žádná Křeč, and Pražský výběr. In 1985, he joined the band Vitacit as lead guitarist. Kreyson
Kreyson is a Czech metal band founded in Prague in 1989 by Ladislav Křížek (Vitacit, Citron, Damiens) after leaving the band Citron. He was joined by Jaroslav Bartoň, also from Citron, Daniel Krob (Arakain), Robert Vondrovic (Arakain), and Karel Adam (Moped). Beginnings In 1990, Kreyson recorded their debut album ''Anděl na útěku'' (Angel on the run) in a studio in Hanover with producer Jan Němec. Its initial pressing of 45,000 copies sold out within three days. The album went gold after selling 150,000 copies and eventually sold over a quarter of a million copies. Three singles were released off the album: "Vzdálená" (Far away, or "Faraway" on the English version), "Čarovná noc" (Magical night, or "Deep in the Night" on the English version), and "Nejde vrátit čas" (Can't turn back time, or "I Need You" on the English version), all of which were successful in the charts. Citron (band)
Citron is a Czech hard rock/heavy metal band founded in Ostrava in 1976. The band's history is divided into two distinct eras: between 1976 and 1981, when their name was spelled with a long "ó", Citrón, and they played mainly blues rock. During this time, the band leader was bassist Petr Michalík. Roztoky (; german: Rostok) is a town in Prague-West District in the Central Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 8,600 inhabitants. Žirovnice (; german: Serownitz) is a town in Pelhřimov District in the Vysočina Region of the Czech Republic. it has about 2,900 inhabitants.
