Virtual Hydlide
is an action role-playing game for the Sega Saturn console, developed by T&E Soft, published by Sega in Europe and Japan, and Atlus Software in North America. It is a remake of the original '' Hydlide'', the first game in the series, but incorporated full 3D graphics and a player character digitized from a live actor. On release, it received mixed reviews for its graphics, 3D environment and music, while receiving criticism for its gameplay. Plot The player takes on the role of a hero named Jim on a quest to defeat an evil demon named Varalys who has turned the princess of Hydlide into three fairies. was a Japanese-based video game developer founded in 1982. Although they have made games with a wide variety of genres, they are primarily known in the U.S. for their golf and puzzle video games. A random dungeon is a dungeon in a role-playing video game which is procedurally generated by the computer using an algorithm, such that the dungeon is laid out differently every time the player enters it, and a player often never plays through quite the same dungeon twice, as there are innumerable possibilities for how they generate. Random dungeons are usually found in the Action RPG genre of games. Programs are also available that generate random dungeons for tabletop role-playing games. In video games, spawning is the live creation of a character, item or NPC. Respawning is the recreation of an entity after its death or destruction, perhaps after losing one of its lives. Despawning is the deletion of an entity from the game world.
