Virgin (band)
Virgin is a Polish pop rock band created in 2000 that officially disbanded in 2007. They temporarily reunited in 2014, and permanently in 2016. Its lead singer is Dorota Rabczewska. History Virgin (2000–2004) Virgin's first album ''Virgin'', which contained sixteen tracks, had 13,000 sales. . The songs on this album were written by Doda, Andrzej Mogielnicki, Anja Orthodox and Asia Prykowska. After the debut release of this album, Virgin was nominated for a Fryderyk award in the category of "New Face of Music 2002". The group intensively promoted the album and gave concerts while they were working on their second album. This album showed the group's rock side as well as its musical aspirations. It also included a cover of Madonna's song "Material Girl". Whilst promoting this album, Doda took part in the reality TV show broadcast on Polsat, titled ''Bar''. ''Diamond Bitch'' is the debut studio album by Polish pop-rock recording artist Doda (singer), Doda. It is her first solo album recorded after the rock music, rock band Virgin (band), Virgin disbanded. It was released in Poland on July 27, 2007. Becoming a massive success, the album went straight to number one, and stayed there for five straight weeks. The album was re-released in August 2008 under the same title. It contains all the songs from the standard version, except for the song "To Jest To" which was removed due to plagiarism, but included a new single called "Nie daj się", which was a national success. The Sopot International Song Festival or Sopot Festival (later called ''Sopot Music Festival Grand Prix'', ''Sopot Top of the Top Festival'' from 2012–13 and ''Polsat Sopot Festival'' in 2014) is an annual international song contest held in Sopot, Poland. It is the biggest Polish music festival altogether with the National Festival of Polish Song in Opole, and one of the biggest song contests in Europe.
