This is a list of primary characters from the anime series ''Gurren Lagann, Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann''. Most of them are people who became the first members of Kamina's Team Gurren. The plot of ''Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann'' is divided into two main story arcs, separated by a seven-year timeskip. Monica Jean Rial (born October 5, 1975) is an American voice actress and ADR script writer affiliated with Funimation and Seraphim Digital/Sentai Filmworks. She provides voices for English language versions of Japanese anime films and television series. Career Rial's first voice-over role was some walla in the 1999 dub of ''Martian Successor Nadesico''.
