Viqarunnisa Noon School and College ( bn, ভিকারুননিসা নূন স্কুল এন্ড কলেজ), also known as VNSC, is an all-girls higher secondary school and college in Dhaka, Bangladesh. It has 25,000 students at four campuses in the city. It is named after Viqar un Nisa Noon. History The school began as Ramna Preparatory School in 1947. Austrian Pakistani social worker Begum Viqar un Nisa Noon, wife of the then-governor of East Pakistan, Firoz Khan Noon, was impressed when she visited in 1950. With her support the school moved to its current Baily Road location, where it was renamed in her honour. It expanded very soon to a high school and, in 1956, prepared students for the Senior Cambridge Examination. In 1978, it started a college section with higher secondary courses. Campuses The main campus in Bailey Road covers about 6 acres of land. With growing admissions, the school eventually introduced multiple sections, afternoon shifts, ...

Viqarunnisa University ( bn, ভিকারুননিসা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়) is a private university in Bangladesh. It was established in 2001. The university is on Bailey Road, Dhaka. Former member of the national parliament of Bangladesh and businessman Dr HBM Iqbal is the chairman of the Viqarunnisa University Foundation. In 2002, the University Grants Commission (UGC) brought allegations of in setting up the institution against the chairman. In 2003, the supreme court asked concerned authorities to reopen the university. Government Viqar-un-Nisa Women University, formerly known as Government Viqar-un-Nisa College for Women, Rawalpindi is a public women's university located in Rawalpindi, Punjab, Pakistan. History It was founded in the early 1950s by Begum Viqar un Nisa Noon, wife of Feroz Khan Noon. Begum Viqar-un-Nisa Noon also founded the Viqar-un-Nisa Noon Girls' Higher Secondary School in Rawalpindi. This college was the first established part of the school, but it has since then been taken over by the government. Today, the college remains a government institution while the school is still private. In 2012, the Science Block was named after Arfa Karim. Viqar Un Nisa Noon
Begum Viqar un Nisa (also known as Victoria Rekha or ‘Lady Noon’; 1920 – 16 January 2000) was the Spouse of the Prime Minister of Pakistan from 1957 to 1958. By profession, she was a social worker. She married 7th Pakistani Prime Minister Sir Feroz Khan Noon in 1945 and also participated in the Pakistan Movement, which led to the creation of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. Viqar was an Austrian by birth and origin, and was born as Victoria in July 1920. Involvement with Pakistan Movement After her marriage, she converted to Islam, and renamed herself from Victoria to Viqar un Nisa. The Noons left Delhi the same year after Sir Feroz Khan Noon resigned from the Indian Viceroy's cabinet, and moved to Lahore. Lady Noon had firsthand exposure to Pakistani politics and involved herself with local politics, becoming a member of the Punjab Provincial Women's Subcommittee, organizing rallies and processions for the Muslim League.
