Vinukonda (Assembly Constituency)
Vinukonda Assembly constituency is a constituency in Palnadu district of Andhra Pradesh that elects representatives to the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly in India. It is one of the seven assembly segments of the Narasaraopet Lok Sabha constituency. Bolla Brahma Naidu is the current Member of Legislative Assembly (India), MLA of the constituency, having won the 2019 Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly election from YSR Congress Party. As of 2019, there are a total of 251,677 electors in the constituency. The constituency was established in 1951, as per the ''Delimitation Orders (1951)''. 2019 Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly Election
The 2019 Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly elections were held in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh on 11 April 2019 for constituting the fifteenth Legislative Assembly in the state. They were held alongside the 2019 Indian general election. The YSR Congress Party won the election in a landslide, winning 151 of the 175 seats, with the incumbent Telugu Desam Party winning just 23. The Jana Sena Party entered the legislature with one seat, while the Congress and Bharatiya Janata Party failed to win any seats. YSRCP's 151-seat win (or 86%) is the largest majority government (in % terms) in the history of Andhra Pradesh, even surpassing TDP's 226-seat victory (or 77%) and equal if number of seats contested is only considered (216 out of 251) in the Undivided 1994 election Y. The United Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly election of 1983 was held in January 1983 in 294 constituencies in United Andhra Pradesh, India. The elections were conducted to elect the government in the state of Andhra Pradesh for the following five years. The TDP secured a huge majority winning 202 seats. Bolla Brahma Naidu
Bolla Brahmanaidu is an Indian politician, who currently represents Vinukonda Assembly constituency in the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly. Political career Bolla Brahmanaidu came from a farming family and founded Tirumala Dairy in 2004, Tirumala Engineering College and Tirumala Oxford Education Society. He entered politics in 2009 and contested the 2009 assembly elections from the Praja Rajyam Party and lost. After Bolla Brahmanaidu's Praja Rajyam Party merged with the Congress, he joined the YSR Congress Party and contested the 2014 assembly elections from Pedakurapadu constituency and lost.
