Vinko Kandija
Vinko Kandija (May 23, 1934 – March 10, 2002) was a Croatian handball player and coach. Kandija won over 40 titles and trophies in the game with male and female teams. His coaching career led him from club to club, and he achieved excellent results everywhere, especially with women's teams, he won fifty different titles thanks to his persistent work and expertise, becoming one of the most successful and most respected handball coaches in the country and abroad, and because of his style of coaching and leadership, he was named the "last romanticist". His biggest achievement was winning the Women's European Champions Cup four times and Women's EHF Cup Winners' Cup once in 1984–85. CD Bidasoa
CD Bidasoa Irun is a team of handball based in Irún, Spain. It plays in Liga ASOBAL. History The Basque club was founded in 1962. Five years after its foundation, CD Bidasoa managed to get promoted to the second division and after the 1969/1970 season it was promoted to the first division. Eight years was enough to reach the highest class. The team achieved its main successes with the support of the Elgorriaga chocolate company. In its home country, the club won the league a total of 2 times (1987, 1995), the Copa del Rey 2 times (1992, 1996), the ASOBAL Cup 1 times (1993) and the Supercopa ASOBAL 1 times (1996). The competition is organised every year by EHF. The official name for the men's competition is the EHF Champions League Men. Yugoslav Women's Handball Championship
The Yugoslav Women's Handball Championship was the premier championship for women's handball clubs in SFR Yugoslavia. Founded like its male counterpart in 1953, it was dissolved in 1992 following the breakup of Yugoslavia. The championship's most successful teams were Radnički Belgrade with fourteen championships (including ten titles in a row) and Lokomotiva Zagreb with ten. Budućnost Titograd follows with four titles, while Spartak Subotica won three, and Lokomotiva Virovitica, Podravka Koprivnica and Voždovac Belgrade clinched two. 1984–85 IHF Women's Cup Winners' Cup
The 1984–85 IHF Women's Cup Winners' Cup was the ninth edition of IHF's competition for European women's handball national cup champions. 23 teams entered the competition, three more than the previous edition, but two of them withdrew. Like in the previous season, the final confronted a Yugoslav and a Czechoslovak team, and Budućnost Titograd defeated Druzstevník Topolniky to clinch a fourth consecutive Cup Winners' Cup for Yugoslavia.
