Villu Pattukaran
''Villu Pattukaran'' is a 1992 Tamil-language drama film directed by Gangai Amaran. The film stars Ramarajan, Rani and Chandrasekhar. The film, produced by Karumari Kandasamy and J. Durai, had musical score by Ilaiyaraaja and was released on 27 November 1992. Plot Kalimuthu is the lead singer of a group performing Villu Paatu. The village head decides to reconstruct the tumbledown village temple and gives Kalimuthu responsibility for funding money. Finally, the music composer Ilaiyaraaja helps them financially. Then, Kalimuthu approaches a reputed sculptor from another village. The sculptor and his daughter Abhirami come to their village. Later, Kalimuthu and Abhirami fall in love with each other. Abhirami's father wants to marry Abhirami to his nephew Rajasekharan while the village head's son Chelladurai (Vikas Rishi), a womaniser, has an eye for Abhirami. Gangai Amaran
Gangai Amaran is an Indian music composer, singer, lyricist, writer, film director and actor in Tamil films. Personal life Gangai Amaran was born in Pannaipuram in Theni district, Tamil Nadu in December 1947, as the youngest son of Daniel Ramaswamy and Chinnathayi. He is the younger brother of noted music director Ilaiyaraaja and father of director and actor Venkat Prabhu and actor, composer and singer Premji Amaren. He had two more elder brothers, R. D. Bhaskar and Pavalar Varadharajan, both who died long back. Composers Karthik Raja, Yuvan Shankar Raja, singer Bhavatharini and costume designer Vasuki Bhaskar are his relations. ''The New Indian Express'' is an Indian English-language broadsheet daily newspaper published by the Chennai-based Express Publications. It was founded in 1932 as ''The Indian Express'', under the ownership of Chennai-based P. Varadarajulu Naidu. Malaysia Vasudevan
Vasudevan (15 June 1944 – 20 February 2011), known as Malaysia Vasudevan, was a Malaysian-Indian playback singer and actor in Tamil cinema. Early life Malaysia Vasudevan's parents were from Palakkad. Chattu Nair of Ottappalam and Ammalu of Polpulli, along with their families migrated to British Malaya in search of a livelihood. After a few years, Chattu Nair married Ammalu in an arranged marriage. Vasudevan was born on 15 June 1944 as their eighth and youngest child. Even though he was a Malayali, as was the case with the majority of contemporary South Indian migrants to Malaya then, his surroundings in Malaysia was dominated by the Tamil language and culture.
