Ville Salmikivi (born 20 May 1992) is a Finnish professional footballer who plays as a forward. Career Youth career Salmikivi begun playing football being five years old in HIFK. The youth organisation of HIFK was acquired by PK-35 in 2000, thus he played in PK-35 until the season 2010. He was selected as "The Boy Player of the Year" of the club in 2008. Viikingit Salmikivi didn't manage to break through to the first team of PK-35, therefore he moved to FC Viikingit for the season of 2011. In Viikingit he was the top goalscorer of the season 2011 in Ykkönen, scoring 20 goals. The accomplishment earned himself to be "The Footballer of the Season 2011 in Ykkönen", voted by the Federation of Finnish Footballers. During the season 2012, he scored seven times. 2015 Veikkausliiga
The 2015 Veikkausliiga was the 85th season of top-tier football in Finland. HJK Helsinki were the defending champions. The season was won by SJK, ending HJK's record streak of six straight titles. Teams TPS were relegated to Ykkönen after finishing at the bottom of the 2014 season. Their place was taken by Ykkönen champions HIFK. Kolmonen
Kolmonen or III divisioona is the fourth level in the league system of Finnish football and comprises 104 Finnish football teams. The III divisioona was introduced in 1973 and in the mid-1990s became known as the Kolmonen (''Number Three'' in English and ''Trean'' in Swedish). The competition There are 104 clubs in the Kolmonen, divided in 9 groups of 10 to 12 teams each representing a geographical area. During the course of a season (starting in April and ending in October) each club plays the others twice, once at their home ground and once at that of their opponents. Veikkausliiga (; sv, Tipsligan) is the premier division of Finnish football, the highest tier of the Finnish football league structure, comprising the top 12 clubs of the country. Its main sponsor is the Finnish national betting agency Veikkaus, hence the league's name. Veikkausliiga was founded in 1990; before that the top division was called ''Mestaruussarja'' (championship series) since 1930 which was an amateur or semi-professional league. Between 1908 and 1930 the championship was decided as a knock-out cup competition. Structure During the 1990 and 1991 seasons the Veikkausliiga was played under the name "Futisliiga" ( sv, Fotbollsligan). Finnish League Cup
The Finnish League Cup was a knock-out association football, football competition contested annually during the pre-season in winter by teams from Veikkausliiga. The league cup was abolished after the 2016 tournament and replaced with the Finnish Cup group stage starting from the 2017 season. League cup will be played again in spring of 2022.
