Vikas Thakur (born 14 November 1993) is an Indian weightlifter from Hamirpur (Himachal Pradesh) who won silver in the men's 85 kg weight class at the 2014 Commonwealth Games at Glasgow, Scotland. He won a bronze in the 94 kg weight class at the 2018 Commonwealth Games in The Gold Coast. The 2022 Commonwealth Games, officially known as the XXII Commonwealth Games and commonly known as Birmingham 2022, was an international multi-sport event for members of the Commonwealth of Nations that took place in Birmingham, England between 28 July and 8 August 2022. Birmingham was announced as host on 21 December 2017.
