Viirelaid
Viirelaid, previously also known as Paternoster, is a small island in the Baltic Sea belonging to the country of Estonia. Viirelaid lies southeast of the island of Muhu. Together with Muhu and neighbouring small islands of Kesselaid, Võilaid and Suurlaid it forms Muhu Parish ( et, Muhu vald), the rural municipality within Saare County, Estonia. The area of the island is 81 hectares. It is up to 4.5 metres above sea level and is very flat. The island served in earlier times as an orientation point for the shipping industry. On the island is a steel lighthouse called the ''Viirelaiu tuletorn'' built in 1882 and renovated in 2004. Originally built in 1857 of timber, the structure is an 11-metre-high tower. Muhu
Muhu (also called Muhumaa in Estonian), is an island in the West Estonian archipelago of the Baltic Sea. With an area of it is the third largest island belonging to Estonia, after Saaremaa and Hiiumaa. Together with neighbouring smaller islands of Kesselaid, Viirelaid, Võilaid and Suurlaid it forms Muhu Parish ( et, Muhu vald), the rural municipality within Saare County. Võilaid
Võilaid is a small, uninhabited island in the Baltic Sea belonging to the country of Estonia. Its coordinates are . Võilaid lies southeast of the Estonian island of Muhu in the Gulf of Riga. The island is 2.5 km² and uninhabited. In the spring and summer months, the island is used for grazing livestock and horseback riding excursions. The highest point is 3.6 m above the sea level. At low tides the water level is shallow enough to enable passage to the island of Muhu by foot. Võilaid, along with other areas in Estonia such as: Manilaid, Kihnu, Ruhnu, Harilaid, Käina, Kassari, Saarnaki laid, Saastna, Salmi, Penijõe, Põgari-Sassi, Haeska, Kumari, Tahu were selected by the LIFE-Nature project's "Boreal Baltic Coastal Meadow Preservation in Estonia" as having the most viable coastal meadows in the country. Suurlaid ( en, Big Islet) is a small island in the Baltic Sea belonging to the country of Estonia. Its coordinates are Suurlaid lies just off south coast of the Estonian island of Muhu. Together Muhu and neighbouring islands Viirelaid, Võilaid it forms Muhu Parish (Estonian: ''Muhu vald''), the rural municipality within Saare County, Estonia. The nearest populated settlement is the village of Pädaste, which lies on the southern coast of Muhu. The island has a total area of 1.9 km2 and is very flat. The highest elevation point on the island is only 2.1 meters above the sea level. The area around the island is rich fish stocks and the island itself is farm managed in the spring and summer with cattle and sheep. Baltic Sea
The Baltic Sea is an arm of the Atlantic Ocean that is enclosed by Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Russia, Sweden and the North and Central European Plain. Kesselaid
Kesselaid (also Kessulaid, or diminutively Kessu. german: Schildau; sv, Sköld, Skölldo) is a Estonian islet located between the mainland and the island of Muhu in the Suur Strait (''Big Strait'') which connects the Väinameri strait and the Gulf of Riga. There's only one village on the island Kesse, which is administratively part of Muhu Parish, Saare County. With the highest point 15.6 m above sea level it's the highest islet of Estonia. It is also considered to be the oldest islet, as it arose around 3000 BC. Since 1938, the 7 to 8 feet high cliffs of Kesselaid have been designated a nature reserve. Saare County ( et, Saare maakond or ''Saaremaa''; la, Oesel; german: Ösel; sv, Ösel) is one of 15 counties of Estonia.
