The Lao League 1 ( lo, ລາວ ພຣີເມຍລີກ), known for sponsorship reasons as the Pepsi Lao League 1, is a Association football, football league representing the sport's highest level in Laos. The league is composed of seven clubs for the 2022 season. Format Over the course of a season, which runs from February to September, each team plays against the others three times in a triple Round-robin tournament, round-robin. Three points are awarded for a win, one for a draw and zero for a loss. Vientiane ( , ; lo, ວຽງຈັນ, ''Viangchan'', ) is the capital and largest city of Laos. Vientiane is divided administratively into 9 cities with a total area of only approx. 3,920 square kilometres and is located on the banks of the Mekong, close to the Thai border.
