Vidit Santosh Gujrathi
Vidit Santosh Gujrathi (born 24 October 1994) is an Indian chess grandmaster. He attained the title of grandmaster in January 2013, becoming the 30th player from India to do so. he is the second highest rated player in India (behind Viswanathan Anand. He is the fourth Indian player to have crossed the Elo rating threshold of 2700. Early life and chess career Vidit Santosh Gujrathi was born in Nashik to Santosh Gujrathi and Nikita Santosh Gujrathi. He did his early schooling at Fravashi Academy and was coached in chess from an early age. In 2006, he finished second in the Asian Youth Championships in the U12 category, thus receiving the title of FIDE Master. The FIDE Online Chess Olympiad 2020 was an online chess tournament organised by the Fédération Internationale des Échecs (FIDE) and hosted by Chess.com. It was held between 24 July and 30 August. The event was organised after the 44th Chess Olympiad was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The final match between Russia and India was called off after several Indian team members experienced connectivity issues due to a global outage of Cloudflare servers; Russia and India were subsequently declared joint winners. The Tata Steel Chess Tournament is an annual chess tournament held in January in Wijk aan Zee, the Netherlands. It was called the Hoogovens Tournament from its creation in 1938 until the sponsor Koninklijke Hoogovens merged with British Steel to form the Corus Group in 1999, after which the tournament was called the Corus Chess Tournament. Corus Group became Tata Steel Europe in 2007. Abhijit Kunte (born 3 March 1977 in Pune) is an Indian chess player who holds the FIDE title of Grandmaster. Biography He has participated many times in the Indian Chess Championship, winning two gold medals (1997, 2000) and four bronze medals (1999, 2001, 2003, 2005). Alon Greenfeld
Alon Greenfeld ( he, אלון גרינפלד; born 17 April 1964 in New York City) is an Israeli chess grandmaster and trainer. His peak rating is 2610, achieved in the FIDE rating list of January 1994. In 1982, he finished runner-up in the European Junior Chess Championship. Two years later, Greenfeld won the Israeli national championship. His best individual achievement is the victory of the Komerční banka Cup, a category 14 round-robin tournament at the Trimex Open 1993 in Pardubice. His most famous pupil has been Emil Sutovsky.
