Vidas Ginevičius
Vidas Ginevičius (born May 11, 1978) is a 1.93 m (6'4") in height, 93 kg (205 pound) in weight, Lithuanian professional basketball point guard born in Kaunas, Lithuanian SSR, Soviet Union, USSR. Pro career His career started in 1999, when he started to play for Statyba (Jonava). In the 2000–2001 season he played for BC Žalgiris, Zalgiris, but he moved during the season to KK Neptūnas, Neptūnas. In 2001, he came back to Žalgiris, who loaned him for the 2003 season to BC Alytus, Alytus. In March 2004, he left the team due to the clubs' financial problems and he came back to Žalgiris, but only for LKL, Lithuanian League games. He has played in 19 games in the EuroLeague, during the 2004–05 Euroleague season. BC Juventus ( lt, Krepšinio klubas Juventus), also known as Uniclub Casino Juventus for sponsorship reasons, is a Lithuanian professional basketball club based in Utena, Lithuania. Founded in 1999, the club currently plays in the Lithuanian Basketball League. History 2000–2007: foundation and participation in RKL Juventus basketball club was founded in 1999 and debuted in Naujametinis Utenos rajono Mero taurės turnyras (Utena's new year's mayor's cup tournament) and took third place. Lithuania Men's National Basketball Team
The Lithuania men's national basketball team ( lt, Lietuvos nacionalinė vyrų krepšinio rinktinė) represents Lithuania in international basketball competitions. They are controlled by the Lithuanian Basketball Federation, the governing body for basketball in Lithuania. Despite Lithuania's small size, with a population of less than 3 million, the country's devotion to basketball has made them a traditional force of the sport in Europe. The Lithuanian national team won the last EuroBasket tournaments prior to World War II, in 1937 and 1939. The 1939 team was led by Frank Lubin, who helped popularize basketball in the country and was called the "grandfather of Lithuanian basketball". 2004–05 Euroleague
The 2004–05 Euroleague was the fifth season of the professional basketball competition for elite clubs throughout Europe, organised by Euroleague Basketball Company, and it was the 48th season of the premier competition for European men's clubs overall. The 2004–05 season featured 24 competing teams, from 13 countries. The final of the competition was held in Olimpiisky Arena, Moscow, Russia, with the defending champions, Maccabi Tel Aviv, defeating Tau Cerámica by a score of 90-78. Regular season The first phase was a regular season, in which the competing teams were drawn into three groups, each containing eight teams.
